30th Annual Hills Garlic Festival

Entertainment

Main Stage

Come to the Main Stage sponsored by the Slocan Lake Arts Council for excellent musical entertainment. Combining regional and international talent, two or three groups alternate sets from 10:00 am through 5:00 pm. Picnic tables and benches provide ample space to sit and enjoy the music, and there is room for dancing.

At 4:00, the raffle ticket draw takes place and contest winners are announced.

The House Band was formed from among the regulars who frequent the Slocan Legion Sunday jams.  Steve and Christine Baal who have hosted the jams for years (Guitar-Bass-Vocals) and Rob Moore, the current host, (Guitar-Vocals) along with Jimmie Peterson (Drums) make up the group. Their style is based on songs that have the room for tight vocal harmonies and can range from vintage sixties tunes through folk and country to more modern offerings.
